The Grand Rapids Catholic Secondary Schools’ rich educational history of academic excellence in the Catholic tradition began with the founding of Catholic Central High School in 1906, followed by West Catholic High School in 1962. Both high schools empower students to define their vision and pursue their goals with confidence, competence and Christian generosity. In dynamic partnerships with families, alumni, and the community, the Catholic Secondary Schools establish a firm foundation for life-long in each of its students.
The emphasis on academic excellence is evident in small class sizes taught by high-caliber faculty and the wide variety of academic programs, athletic and social opportunities for students to get involved with on each campus. New academic, performance, and athletic facilities provide forums for learning on every level.
