How to Plan a Class Reunion…

1)   Choose someone to plan the reunion (it does not have to be an officer).

2)   Choose a date and location for the reunion.

3)   Notify Alumni Relations at your school so that the information can be posted on the school website. Information can always be updated.

Alumni Relations Contacts:

West Catholic: Todd Peters, toddpeters@grcss.org

Catholic Central: Dick Truskoski, dicktruskoski@grcss.org

4)   Contact Alumni Relations at your school for a class list and/or mailing labels. (Note: The addresses provided are constantly changing).

5)   Begin accumulating email addresses for the class, starting with your own address book. Ask your contacts to submit other email addresses from their contact list. You may want to start a class email address (i.e. catholiccentral98@yahoo.com) so that one person doesn’t end up with all of the addresses added to their own personal contact list. If you have a class email or website, please notify Alumni Relations so that that information can be linked with the school web pages.

6)   You may want to send a Save the Date mailing to test addresses as well as find out new contact information.

7)   Once you have begun contacting classmates, start forming a committee to plan the event/s. Some classes have picnics, golf outings, casual mixers, or formal dinners. Choose a style that you think will work best for your class.

8)   Finalize the details—Decide on a price that will include the food, postage, decorations, entertainment, and a cushion amount for startup of next reunion. Send out an invitation with the price and response information.

9)   A representative from your school will come to your reunion to give your class a brief update on the “State School.”

After the reunion, please send your updated classmate contact information to your Alumni Relations representative so that the master alumni database can be updated. Please send email addresses, as well as postal address.

Many classes have money saved in a CSS Student Services account. Alumni Relations can tell you if your class has any money in an account. If your class does not have money available, they can loan you $100 to get started. This $100 would need to be paid back at the time of your reunion.

If you would like further help with planning the evening you may always contact Alumni Relations at your school.
