ADMISSIONS > HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT)
As part of the registration process, incoming freshmen are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The results of this test will be influential in your placement in high school classes. The test will measure the following cognitive and basic skills areas: verbal and quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, science and language. Please bring two (2) sharpened #2 pencils with you to the test. Please note that calculators will not be allowed.
There is a testing fee of $12.00. Please fill out the test registration form, include a check for the testing fee made payable to the high school you will be testing at. There are dates scheduled in January and you may take the test at either high school. Your scores will be sent to the school that you indicate on the registration form. Students who meet the guidelines for Free/Reduced Lunch are not required to pay the testing fee. Please indicate Free/Reduced Lunch on your testing registration form. If the date of the test is in conflict with your schedule, please contact Nancy Beadling, Admissions Coordinator at (616) 233-5814 to schedule another time. |
